Product Details
Description
Fruit Appearance: The fruit is large, oval or round, and typically hangs from the branches. It has a tough, velvety, woody shell that is initially green but dries out on the tree. Pulp: Uniquely, the fruit naturally dehydrates inside its shell while still on the branch, resulting in a white to pale cream, dry, powdery, and fibrous pulp. Flavor and Nutrition: The pulp has a distinct, pleasantly tart and slightly tangy/sour flavor. It is widely regarded as a superfood due to its high nutritional content, particularly its exceptionally high levels of Vitamin C (more than oranges) and fiber. The pulp is often used to make refreshing drinks, added to porridges, or used as a thickening agent.
