The skin is moderately textured, though usually smoother than some other varieties like the Emperor. Flesh: The flesh is firm, translucent white, and very juicy. Flavor: It is celebrated for its sweet and highly aromatic flavor, often containing delightful floral or perfumed notes. Seed: A key feature is the high percentage of small, shriveled, or aborted seeds, which maximizes the amount of edible pulp. This small seed is famously nicknamed the "chicken tongue" seed.
